There is nothing like listening to an investigator pray!!

Hey MOM!

This week was really interesting. So from breaking my finger last week (which I told you a little about), hearig some bad news, Kegan being Baptized! So it started off with Zone Sports. I jammed my finger really badly (so i thought). I was going to hit a ball down and another kid was hitting it up and I hit his palm. So the next day it was really purple and big (yes i was iceing it). So i knew someting was wrong so we spent like 4 hours at the Kaiser in Manassas and they did an X-Ray and it was broken. Then i had it splinted on Thursday. On the way to the Orthopedics, Josh was driving us, He skidded into a van and barley tapped it. It has been snowing (kill me know). His jeep is stick and he went to down shift and lost traction and just barley tapped a van. We were going like 15 approaching a stop sign. Anyways they guy was like really serious and givving Josh a hard time and there was no damage. Then we made it to the doctors and my doctor said that the break should heal good and I have a splint for 10 days.

One of the cool things was I was able to go on an exchange with my old comp Elder Perry. He is one of our Zone Leaders and his comp is going home this transfer as well, so when they went to the temple on wednesday, we did an exchange. Man I love Elder Perry. He is a great guy and we had a really good exchange. We saw Ray and Emma. Ray needed help with moving an eliptical out of his basement so I used one hand and Elder Perry grabbed the back and we got it hahaha. Then we had a lesson with them and invited them to church and Ray gave us a really hard time and said no lol. But its all good.

We were able to see kegan and Elder Perry gave ghim his interview and he passed! Elder Perry said that he was really prepared and excited! Then the Baptism was way awesome. Becky came and a recent convert that Elder Mcabee Baptized last year and they talked a lot and he said she is pretty close to being baptized. She jokes around and says that she doesnt want to wear the white prison jump suit to be baptized lol. But it was a really spiritual Baptism. Everyone that was there really enjoyed it. Kegan loved. When i showed him wear his prison suit was he wanted to pray with just  Josh, me and himself and in it he was talking about trying to be an example for his family and wether to serve a mission or not. I was pretty cool. There is nothing like listening to an investigator pray!!!! Then on Sunday Kegan asked me to confirm him. I always get really nervous when i go to confirm but it feels so spiritually awesome! Then he came to gospel principles and elders quorm. he really liked the classes. That night we had Elder McAbees departing fireside. Josh took us all again . I saw my old comp Elder Ayala and he tore his miniscuss and finds out today if he has to go home early for surgery or not. Im gonna miss that kid. Well i would have more to say but Elder Mcabee has interviews and i cant type fast with a broken finger lol

LOVE YOU!

Oh yeah, broke my finger!

Hey Mom!
This week was decent. The only real  big things that happened is that Kegan is still on date and we were able to have a really good lesson with the African American man named Emanuel again. He loves having the lessons and he loves hearing the word of God he says. We taught him the 3rd lesson and he loved it. He said that he likes his church but he feels that it does not hold all the truth. So he is doing really well but he is so busy that we can rarely teach him. But he has a good friend that he considers to be his brother that works with him at the Pentegon and they always have great discussions about the Church. Emanuels friend's daughter was being baptized and Emanuel almost went to it but got really busy and couldnt so that was a bummer. But thats ok. There is this 17 year old that we meet with every week that can't be baptized until he is 18 that was at church. His name is Shelby. Kegan, Becky, and Eleanor were also at church. Kegan is really excited for his Baptism. There was an 8 year old Baptism on Saturday that Josh and Kegan came to and Kegan really enjoyed it. We filled out his record last night and Josh is Baptizing him and Kegan wants me to confirm him. That will be really awesome. Im always pretty nervous when confirm or give a blessing hahaha. But it will be such a great weekend!!!!

The other fun thing that happened was we took Josh tracting with us last night. Josh did pretty well. He only knocked 2 doors but did good. We were laughing because the only 2 bad doors we got were both on Elder McAbee. The first one just looked at him and gave him this really funny "ya right" look and slammed the door in his face right he said "hey hows it going" hahaha. The guys face was priceless. Then the 2nd door this guy walked out and just started yelling at Elder McAbee that he doesn't believe in the Aaronic Priesthood and that he has the Melchezedik Priesthood and that he doesnt need the Book Of Mormon and then finished by yelling at him to "PONDER THAT!". Probably the funnest time iv ever had tracting. Josh and I kept telling McAbee to Ponder that lol. Then when we went back to the Richardson they showed us the new dog they just bought. Its a German Shepard thats only 7 weeks old. Its such a cute puppy. Sister Richardson knows i love dogs so she let me hold her first. They bought a girl because the parents were massive and the boy puppies were twice the size of the girls already hahaha. We keep struggling with finding new investigators. So that is what we are focusing on right now.

The flu shot...so not happening!!

MOM!!!
This was a really good week. Kegan and Becky and Eleanore were all at church. We had 3 lessons with Kegan and he is progressing really really well. Becky and Eleanor were really busy so we didn' get to see them. I got my medicine. That was fine. My nurse was the same one i had the very first time I got my medicine out here and she was trying to interigate me into getting the flu shot...so not happening!!
We had a really really fun lunch with this older couple. The lady is named Emma and she is from Louisiana. She is a way good cook and she made this awesome Turkey soup and roast. Ray is the man she lives with and he siad that if we stick around long enough he will convert us to be a Presbyterian hahaha. We had both Zone Conference and Zone training this week and that about drove me crazy. These meetings are soo soo  so long meetings. We here the same thing over and over again the only difference is Pres Riggs keeps giving us new rules. It all good, it is just such a looooong meeting.
Were going to the National Cemitary in Arlington today. So i will have awesome pictures next week.
Love you

A birthday salad for me....just great.

Hey Moo-Hair!

Thank you for the Birthday presents! The ties were so awesome! I wore Pres B's yesterday! It was such a cool present. Random people at church told me happy burthday hahaha. It was a good day. Honestly just another day hahaha. But thank you for everything! Thanks for the pictures. Tell the Langones I miss them like crazy!!!
This week was awesome! We taught a lot of lessons and Kegan, Becky and Eleanor were all at church!!!! It was way awesome. I taught Kegan with the Priests on Wednesday. We were on splits so I taught Kegan that night and McAbee taught Becky and Eleanor. We saw them both like twice this week. We finally found 2 new but one dropped us 3 days later. But its all good. The funniest thing ever happened. We went to a dinner appointment and just guess what dinner was. A freaking Salad. I thought they were totally joking because they know I have Crohns and we eat with them like one a week so I have been there a ton. So i ate the salad and then immediately following we flew over to the Schmidts and they fed us all sorts of food hahaha. I called up brother Schmidt and I was like "I need something from you" and when we walked in I was like "FOOD! Thats what I need" Thankfully Sister Schmidt made all sorts of different types of food so it was all good. Then the husband of the family came up to me like 2 days later and was like "sorry! we totally didn't know you couldnt have salad" hahaha. The other big problem with the situation was i was STARVING so it was like the biggest unintentional slap to the face. A freaking salad., hysterical!
We had a pretty funny lesson with an eternal investigator. He was all happy and fine until we asked him about his prayers and if he was keeping his commitments and then he totally got all quiet. One of the biggest things that people that want to convert to the Gospel have to do is keep commitments. And the other thing was what i said earlier. They have to want it. This week was fast (thank the lord). So on a random note, Pres Riggs called to tell me Happy Birthday he says " how often do you have to do all your medical stuff?" and i told him not that often and he goes on to say "Good because i want you to train so i will go pray some more about it" happy birthday me right? I dont want to train! But o well.

Love ya
